Hello. I'm wondering if there is a way to add items to appointments. For our restaurant, we have a room that we would like to be able to book for parties and have them be able to order the food that they want ahead of time. I think listing it as a service isn't as flexible because they may want to order, for example, 2 pizzas or custom pizzas, or a basket of chicken which is priced per person, etc. Any thoughts on the best way to accomplish this?

At this time you may add items to appointments when creating the booking from the Square Dashboard. However, adding items isn't currently possible online. One suggestion I can give you is to make the booking online with a deposit and reach out to the customer to complete the details of the booking.
This is something that REALLY needs to be added. I have spent days researching this same subject and keep coming to dead ends. Online is a key component to many many businesses and this one feature can save business owners SO SO much time. This and adding custom questions to appointments.
+1 on this. (Frustrating because it's already possible from Dashboard.)
The (ugly) workaround I think I'm going to have to use to address this is that my clients first have to order their items through the site. I then email them to make an appointment for pickup or delivery and they have to make that appointment. Two steps << one step.

At this time, this is still a feature request. (To learn more about how feature requests work, please see this post from one of our Seller Community Moderators.) I checked in with the Appointments Team and they let me know that this feature isn't currently on their roadmap for production in 2023. In the meantime, you can also add items to the Appointment in person, but as of right now, the Booking Sites are only for services.

One this same note. Is there a way to connect a service to an item? I have unique singular items that require appointments. I would like for someone to be able to buy an item and have it take them to book an appointment. There are other e-commerce sites that can do this but I would prefer to stay on square. The other option would be to be able to treat a service like an item and set an inventory for it. Any thoughts?
has there been any resolution to this?? I operate a black car service, so each time a customer books, there needs to be a spot to add their new pickup and dropoff locations, airline, flight number, etc. Thats all possible and working fine on the app, but who cares?? we need this to work online otherwise whats the point? I absolutely refuse to pass this huge weird inconvenience down to my passengers. I like square a lot, but I will have to switch if you cannot help me accomplish this. I dont feel like I'm asking too much, im paying hundreds of dollars for your service, it should do exactly what my business needs it to do. Please contact me about this... [email protected]

Is it possible to create a bundle or package in which a customer can book a service and add an item, such as clothing or merchandise, at the time of booking?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community on this.
While Packages are now available with Square Appointments, these include predefined Services and Classes only, and don't allow for a custom Item selection.
I've gone ahead and moved your post to an existing thread where other Moderators and Sellers have had similar discussions around this topic, so you can keep track of any developments and consider the workarounds.
I've also had a look on our App Marketplace to see if there are any integrations that could meet your needs, and I can see that Setmore appear to offer the ability to sell appointments and items together. However the information I've found is limited, so it would be best to reach out to them directly to better understand how this would work in practice, both online and in-store.

Create the option to ADD in ( ITEMS ) in the packages.
for example:
I offer Facial treatments that have skin care products which are included in the PACKAGES.
