Can you purchase multiple e-gift cards from square in one transaction?

Can you purchase multiple e-gift cards from square in one transaction?  Say a business wanted to give each of its employees an e-Gift card from my business, can the business request multiple e-cards to print or email and enter its card information only once?

Hey @Bigriverbji

Through the Online Purchasing, you would have to do it one at a time.
On POS you can purchase multiple eGift Cards in a single transaction.

Either way, if it's from the business and you don't want to actually pay for it, you can set up a 100% Discount Code, so you don't need to enter in card info at all.

Not sure how that works for Tax purposes though.

I called Square Support and learned that I needed to use the "Item" icon at the lower right of my Checkout Screen.  The Gift Card item was right where it was supposed to be and when I selected that icon and then selected eGift Card It allows the purchase from the POS!!

I have the toggle switch "ON' to sell eGift cards from the POS,  However, I also have a category named Gift Cards/Certs and two items with four variations each for that category.  How do I get the eGift card to appear so I can sell them from the POS?

If you have the setting on your POS turned on to sell eGift Cards, then it would be under the standard Gift Card "Item" at the top of your item library on POS.

Once you click on Gift Card during a sale, it would prompt you to Choose "Sell Physical Gift Card" or "Sell eGift Card" or "Check Balance"

Hello - I dont have an ITEM = Gift Card at the top of my Item Library.   I just turned off the Sell eGift Card Toggle switch, turned it back on and then closed out the Square App and then reloaded it and there still is no Gift Card at the top of the item library.  Do I need to rename a Category, currently "Gift Card/Cert." to some thing else so the Gift Card category is available?  Do I need to rename two current Items 1) Gift Card - $5&10, Pints & Quarts & 2) Gift Card - Punch Card to some other name so Gift Card isnt in it to free it up?

I really appreciate your help in troubleshooting this with me!!

Hey @Bigriverbji - Justin here!!

@pessosices had the right idea, not 100% why the gift card option is hiding from you. You're looking at Items at Checkout, right?  (not within the navigation menu > items) .

If so, can you take screenshot of your Item library at checkout so I get a visual of what you're seeing?

Let's say a customer wants to buy ten $10 egift cards. Is there a way to set it up so they don't have to put their email in ten times? I understand that each gift card has an individual number, but if they all get sent to the same email address, it would cut down on time at the register. Is my only option to sell the plastic cards?

Hello @Brownbagroaster there is currently no way to purchase multiple gift cards in one transaction and have them all be sent under one email.

I can understand how frustrating and time-consuming having to enter each email can be! You can submit a feature request on our Ideate Board, I do not see any requests like this there. If you know other people looking for this feature as well I would have them comment on your submission. Please provide as much detail as possible about your business needs for this request.

I am sorry I do not have a good solution for you right now. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
