Why am I getting a message Page not found 404

Page not found 404? Why are my buyers seeing that message? I never received an email saying I’m not paid?? And the home page works. I’m so confused 🫤

Hi @FCRGVAB.  There’s not enough information here to give you the assistance you need. What is your website URL?  Also, which page is giving you this error?  Post your reply here and I should be able to look at your site and help you find a solution.

@FCRGVAB.  This error message has nothing to do with whether your account is paid or not.  This is purely a technical glitch.  Your shop page is there, but your item details page seems to be messed up, which is definitely odd.

 

In order to rule out a few things, can you unpublish your site completely and re-publish it using these steps:

 

  1. From your dashboard go to Online > Website > Site Preferences.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click the “Unpublish” button
  3. Then go back to edit your website and publish it again as normal.

Hopefully that will fix whatever random glitch happened when your site was last published.  If not, let me know and we can dig deeper.  FYI, if this keeps happening I might have to send you to Square Support.  But since this is a weekend and they are not fully staffed, hopefully I can help you without resorting to that.
