Today, my Square Kiosk stopped working. It says either "Kiosk Hardware not detected" or "Reader failed to connect". It happened after the Kiosk app was updated via App Store to version 6.51. I tried reinstalling the app, and it did not help.
To test and rule out any hardware failure, I tried to install regular Square POS app and it had no issues detecting the stand and charging customers. However, no matter what I do, Square Kiosk app is not functioning. Although I have talked to support already and was told to wait a few days for resolution, I am posting here in case there are other users with similar issues or possible solutions to try.
Device: iPad Air 3rd gen
iOS version: 17.6.1
Kiosk App Version: 6.51

As of Sep 12, 14:50 PST, the issue has been fixed. The support reached out stating that they released an update (v6.51.1) which addresses the bug. After updating to this version, the Kiosk works as expected.

Yes I've had that same issue. Now saying it's an apple issue. I'm so confused by this whole thing!
