My ecommerce site is rejecting credit cards....HELP!

I have an ecommerce site I just launched. I had a customer tell me the site wouldn't take his credit card. I tested the site with my credit card information and it worked fine. I just had another customer tell me it wouldn't take her credit or debit card. What can I do to get this site working properly?

Hello @betsy5adams thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. Do you have any more info from your customers that couldn't use their credit card? Sometimes older web browsers, or older iPads can interview with the newer coding of an ecommerce site. At least your test was successful...do you know if you were using a different browser or kind of CC?

 

Also, did you build your website entirely with Square or maybe did you use another integration into Wordpress or something else?

I built the website entirely with Square. 

 

I placed my order from a computer. I know the lady that tried today tried to purchase on her cell phone.

I think you're right about the cell phone thing. I tried it on my iPhone. The order didn't go though using Safari, but it went through when I used Google Chrome. Is this something I just need to relay to my customers, or is there a way to fix it?

Someone here said "The fix was to go to Settings > Safari > tap "Clear History and Website Data"
