I blocked out some days on my calendar but some clients are still able to book?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Blocking out appointments

 

New to Square - I have blocked out days so no one can schedule appointments but people are able to go to my website and click on the "Schedule Now" link and book appointments  during the blocked times. How do I correct this?

Hello @karenlowedirect, I'm sorry that some clients have been able to schedule when they shouldn't!

 

I can't check your calendar from the Seller Community but this Support Center article Troubleshoot Your Appointments Availability is a good place to start. I can also start an email case for you with the Appointments team (or you can call!) just reply here to let me know.

I've noticed when I block an entire day customers can still book appointments. I have to set actual times for the day.  So I typically block from like 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. instead of blocking the whole day

That's assuming I do it through Google calendar. Through the square app it doesn't seem to be affected

Hey @MyBikeGuy! Hmm when you sync your calendars it should block time in your Square Appointments Calendar.

 

When you're creating events on your Google Calendar can you check that you're creating those events to your main google calendar? In Google after you've initiated the sync a "Square Appointments" calendar is created in Google - but events added to that calendar (on Google) will not show up in Square Appointments.

If I have time blocked off during my normal working hours, Square does not prevent booking over it nor give any warning or notification that the time is blocked...

 

For instance, I had a full day blocked and my virtual receptionist was easily able to add an appointment with no indication that the entire day had been blocked. It caused a bit of a kerfuffle.

Every Monday in each month is blocked on my schedule via webpage but via app I cannot figure out why It’s happening.
