Combined Tipping + Signature Screen No Longer Available

Hi there,

 

Until 2 days ago, I've always had the option to combine or separate the tipping and payment screens.  I have always kept them combined because handing the device to a customer with the "Would you like to leave a tip" question, feels awkward and unprofessional.

 

Is it possible to restore the option to separate the screens?  I've been a square user for at least a decade.  It's always been great, and the combined signature+tipping screen has resulted in a boost to sales as most of my card paying clients opt to tip.  As it stands now though, I tap "no tip" before handing them the phone to avoid the awkwardness.  I'd like to keep using Square, but I'm not willing to sacrifice tips to do so.

 

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

I understand how important tipping options are for your business and the experience you want to create for your customers. You can adjust this by going to Settings > Checkout > Signature & Receipt > Toggle Collect Signatures. From there, you can choose whether customers sign on the device or on a printed receipt. If tips are enabled, they will be collected wherever signatures are collected.

Hi MayaP,

 

Thank you for your reply!  I do have signatures enabled on device, but the tip screen is still presented as a separate screen, before the signature screen.  I hope other square users find this problematic as well and speak up so that hopefully this will get changed.
