Changing namespace does not work. After saving it reverts to previous one

All in the title.

I cannot change the nameservers to transfer the domain to another cloudflare account.

Does anyone else have this issue and how did you solve it?

I deactivated registrar lock before, which was also reverted once I saved and exited the settings box.

Current Domain Transfer Process

Disable Domain Lock 

Square Dashboard →
Website →
Domains →
Domain Settings →
Security

 

  • Must remain unlocked during transfer
  • Changes must be saved
  • Wait 1 hour before proceeding

Nameserver Changes

Domain Settings →
DNS Management →
Nameservers

 

Known Issues & Solutions
  1. Lock Reverting

    • Clear browser cache
    • Use incognito/private window
    • Try different browser
    • Wait 24 hours between attempts
  2. Transfer Requirements

    • Domain must be >60 days old
    • No pending transfers
    • Valid authorization code
    • Admin email access

  1. Before Starting

    • Backup DNS records
    • Note current settings
    • Have Cloudflare details ready
  2. Transfer Steps

    • Disable domain lock
    • Get authorization code
    • Update nameservers

@voltiris changing nameservers can be a bit like trying to negotiate with the Knights Who Say Ni: you think you’ve followed the sacred steps, and yet... you are told to bring a shrubbery. 🪴

 

Just to clarify, are you making these changes through Square Online’s domain management panel, or are you working directly in Weebly’s legacy dashboard? The reverting could be due to a sync lag or the registrar lock not fully releasing before the save.

 

If you’re still stuck in an endless loop of reverted settings, it may be time to consult Square Support or the Enchanter Tim. Either one might be able to help—though only one of them knows how to handle DNS properly without blowing up a hillside.  You can get to support through the help icon in the top right of your square online dashboard.  Weebly might be a little different.
