After I sell a digital product, how do I connect it to the download?
I'm selling downloadable digital products (eBooks). When someone buys the eBook, how do I hook it to the download page so they can get their product? Usually there is a thank you page with a link to the eBook.
Just for reference: PayPal used to (in the olden days) have a button where you could place the URL address to the download link within the code as well as another link if the customer declined. Now it's so complicated I can't figure it out.

Hi Mortalis,
Probably the answer you don't want to hear at the moment. Presently there is no automatic download option.
Fulfillment of digital item orders must be done manually at this time. Depending on what you’re selling, you may be able to simply send the file as an email attachment. For larger or multiple files, you will need to upload and send your customers a link to access them. There are a number of services that provide file upload, storage, and sharing features, such as Dropbox and Google Drive. Google Drive is a good free option that’s available to anyone who has a Gmail account. Google has a how-to guide here if you’re unfamiliar with the process. Dropbox also has a free option that can be used. Dropbox Basic accounts offer 2 GB of storage space for free.

Hey @mortalis ! I know this thread is a little old, but I spotted your question about connecting ebook sales to a download page, and I think I can help clear things up a bit.
It sounds like manually linking downloads has been a headache, and I get how frustrating that can be. If you're looking for a smoother process to automatically send those eBooks once someone makes a purchase, you might want to check out SendOwl. We've recently launched our app in the Square marketplace specifically to help with selling and delivering digital products like yours.
With SendOwl, once you set it up, it automatically takes care of sending the download link to your customers right after they complete their purchase. No more manual sending! Plus, it’s designed to be super simple to integrate with your Square account.
Hope that helps and makes selling a bit easier for you! Give it a whirl, and feel free to shout if you have any questions! 📚🚀
