We've heard from reps that Square for Retail is being discontinued. Is this true? If so, when? We use Square for Retail because of the vast amount of items and skus we have. 

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Well I certainly HOPE not. That would take us out of Square an force us to Shopify which we don't want to do!

Hello!

Square for Retail is not being discontinued. Earlier this year, we made all of our POS features, including those in Square for Retail, accessible from our Square Point of Sale app. You can read more about it here. All Square for Retail features at the POS or in Square Dashboard are still available.

We've been talking more with Square (and obviously they responded in this thread) and they have assured us it is not being discontinued. They are not sure why that information was being given by a couple of their reps. It seems they mininterpreted information (not sure why else they would have told us this).
