Hey @Square , I am hoping you can change a feature on your Online Ordering. In the advanced settings the only qualifier for setting a limit is by items. Since in a restaurant this can vary greatly on what exactly and how quickly it can be prepared (entrees vs. beverages vs. sides. vs. desserts), I'd like to see some enhanced functionality. Can you add a dollar limit per order, or a max. amount of items per category (like only 10 entrees per order)?

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I can see how having more flexibility in setting order limits, whether by dollar amount or item category, would help manage large orders more effectively in a restaurant setting.
There is no update on this at this time, and this would be considered a feature request. Right now, the only available option is limiting by total item count, however, I suggest submitting this request on our Ideate Board. This helps our team track interest and consider improvements in future updates.
In the meantime, you might consider adding a note in your Online Ordering settings or item descriptions to communicate any limitations on large orders.

The Square Online team is working on several order customization options and different Order Limits are part of the improvements in the works. I don't have any updates to provide at this time but stay tuned!
