Adding menu for online orders

I am new to square and online ordering and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how or where to add my menu for customers to use for ordering! What am I missing?!

You can add a menu to your Square Online website by following these steps: 

 

  1. Log in to your Square Dashboard and go to Menus.

  2. Click Create a Menu. If you need to edit a menu, select one of your existing menus.

  3. Enter a Menu name

  4. Select the Locations where the menu applies. If you have a Square Online site, select the Online ordering site and Availability of your menu

  5. Click Update to save your changes.

  6. Click Continue.

Hey there @Bottomsupbev ,

welcome to Square!

the online platform can be a little confusing at times.

To clarify, do you mean that you have say a .pdf menu that you want to add to your square website for customers to view? 

Or that you can't work out how to get your items onto your square website for your customers to click and order online?

Maybe some screenshots of where you are up to would be helpful.

also, the square support team (on the phone) are often quite helpful and able to step you through some of these issues.

Hi there,

I'm not sure if this is what the original poster is trying to ask, but I have a similar question. I have Square for Restaurants Free verison, but have also been paying for a website and using online ordering for 5 years. I have never used "menus" and have only used categories on my website. I would like to experiment with "Menus" to have different menus for different days of the week. The directions above say "Select the Locations where the menu applies. If you have a Square Online site, select the Online ordering site and Availability of your menu."  But in my dashboard when I create a new menu, for the menu settings, there is no Online Ordering Site / Availability info or choice.  The only choice I have is what location I want to apply.
