Hi all.
We have a small cafe with square for restaurants and currently have 1 square register with a usb printer attached, 1 ipad running square for table side orders. We also have 2 wifi printers, 1 for the coffee station and 1 for the kitchen.
Both wifi printers have static ip 's and are up to date
the Ipad can see both wifi printers and print flawlessly any orders tickets.
Since 2 weeks ago the register cannot see the wifi printers.
I removed them from the settings and now it cannot find the wifi printers at all
our workaround is we print the order tickets on the attached usb printer and run them to the coffee station and the kitchen.
Contacting support I was informed this a know issue.
Anyone have some other ideas?

I apologize we do not have an exact timeline on this, but typically new updates are available every couple of weeks, give or take. If for some reason you are still experiencing issues after the next update, please feel free to reach out here and we can look into this further for you.

I believe you replied on another thread about these issues you were experiencing. From this post, just to confirm, you chatted with Support and they said that the update you mentioned will fix the issues you are experiencing? Or are you having issues beyond those to be fixed in the update?

They Just mentioned that this a known issue and that I should expect an update at some point in the future......
They did not mention when, just that it is known issue

it has now been 2 months since we lost our Wi-Fi printers on the Square Register.
We have resorted to taking orders only on our iPad since that connects to the Wi-Fi printers perfectly and are using the "Register" only for cash customers. it is very frustrating and honestly is making us give 2nd thought to all those wandering salesmen with "alternative" POS's that walk in our cafe weekly... please fix this.....

We lost our bluetooth printer on our Register after an "update". We lost our USB printer to an update over a year ago (printer works great on our Square Stand via usb!)

Writing this in support of anyone else facing the same or similar problems.
I was able to work with the manufacturer of our printers to request an workaround for our issues. They were very helpfull and send us a square specific firmware update that solved the issue created by the recent square update that killed our printing capabilities.
Just as a reminder this was a Square register only problem and it did ot affect the square ipads that use apple firmware for wifi communication.
