Images no longer visible in editor or preview

Hi, I am currently using a free account to start building a site for some online presence with the aim of upgrading once I collate all info for my products to sell.

The site that I have been working on is all of a sudden no longer showing images (logos/background images). I upload them into gallery all in line with the specifications and then load them into the editor. All it shoes on screen and previews is a flashing grey/white box , as if it isn't loading. The only time I catch a glimpse of the images is if i press edit and can them play around with them eg zoom, rotate etc..  but if i press save the same thing happens, it's just hanging in a save type mode. I've cleared cache, tried new browser and just now reset everything and started again and just tried to create a home page with the same thing happening.

Please help!! Thanks in advance!

Hi @jrbaustralia, I noticed this is your first time writing in to us—welcome to the Community!

Are the images that aren't loading tied to a specific section of your site, such as the Main Banner or Navigation?

When uploading the images, have you made sure they meet the image requirements for the Square Online platform? You can refer to our online guide for image specifications as a reference.

For additional troubleshooting, have you tried logging into your Square Online dashboard on another device, like a mobile browser?

I'd be interested to know if the issue is isolated to a single device or if it's happening across multiple devices. While you're checking, be sure you're using a supported browser like Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla.

We'll keep a lookout for your reply. 🙂

Hi Laurie,

Thank you for your reply.

The images are not loading across all sections - whether it be header, main banner, etc. Furthermore, it doesn't work for either logo or background images.

I've double checked, and all images meet the platform requirements.

Unfortunately, I have tried logging in on mobile device as well as other browsers...but the same issue as I initially described, persists.

Hopefully someone can help me out.

Hi, yep same here. Been happening for a while. Previously ok, but no longer.  Including images that match reqs.

So just adding, that this makes creating an image gallery very difficult, because theres no preview. Even in Preview.

Hi @jrbaustralia and @Littlegreen—thanks for your patience while we worked to get back to you!

Are you both still experiencing the same issue with being unable to view images, either in Preview mode or on your live sites? If so, could you please provide the URLs for your sites?

Once received, I’ll escalate this matter to our Square Online team for further investigation.

Hi @Laurie_ , OP here, yes unfortunately the problem remains the same.

Thank you @Littlegreen & @LOBB for confirming this is a problem for others. Very frustrating and I've just about given up at this point.

We’d like to escalate this to our Square Online team for further investigation. Before we proceed, we’ll need the URLs of the sites in question. @jrbaustralia , if you could share a link to your site in your reply, I’ll get the process started!

@Littlegreen @LOBB, feel free to include the URLs for your sites as well, and I’ll make sure those are included in the escalation.
