Search function not working

I don't know what's happened but none of the items I test search for are showing up anymore Smiley Sad

www.sensoryconnect.com.au

I tried using the word oil as there are a number of oil timers on there and they used to work but now nothing. Same for everything else I tried.

The only time it has worked is when I went back in and edited a product then resaved and published. But I don't want to do that to over 600 products Smiley Sad

Please help ASAP!

Our search function is also not working, but I refer to the search function in the product listing page (in the storefront). Product sorting (physical, digital etc) also is not working.

We've tried, logging out and back in, changing browsers, resetting our modem etc. Nothing works.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Just so the peeps at Weebly know what we have tried on :

Mac

iPhone

iPad

Samsung Galaxy

Pc Laptop

PC Desktop

Chrome

Safari

Firefox

Opera (!)

And these have been tried at two different locations so it's not something at our end - plus other search functions on other sites are fine.

To clarify - its the seacrh function in the whole site - main/storefront etc and also in the site editor in the Store.

Over to you Smiley Wink

I'm having the same issue on my site www.thewitchesbazaar.com

I search in the back end (store) and get NO results for products. On the front-end, it shows limited products, even though they are in stock and viewable 😕

It's got to be an issue on Weebly's end. The search box was working fine yesterday as I was hunting for links to put up on Facebook. The only thing I have done to my site since then is added a couple more products, that's not enough to cause a searchbox failure.

I;ve had to put a notice on our facebook page, and our traffic has just flatlined Smiley Sad Lodged tickets (BTW still not getting email confirmation of those, thats been an issue for a while) and messaged via FB so hopefully someone gets onto this quick Smiley Happy

Which site in your account are you having trouble with, @EduardoDg? I can start a reindex for the site on our end for you.

I just got a support team on chat, and their solution is to re-index the site. They said it takes up to 3 days for the effect to take place.

The support person wasn't exactly able to tell me what this means, or why this happened. She also told me the current hold time is 40 minutes.

That's 3 days of work lost. Thanks!

Sorry for the trouble, everyone! Our engineering team is investigating the cause and will have it resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience!

The back end search functionality (in the product / shop editing platform) isn't working either. We have hundreds and hundreds of products to work on. I had planned to spend the day going through my list and auditing / editing copy and images, but can't get anything done as a result of this.

That's 3 days of work lost. I know this isn't your fault, but this is also sort of insane.

I don't think it takes 3 days to re-index, although it can take a few hours. Well.. if you had a very large site with a lot of products it could take longer - it's sort of hard to gauge how long so they're probably trying to give you the longest amount of time possible. If they already started a re-index for you I wouldn't be surprised if it's already done.

Hey Adam

All good here, up and running again Smiley Happy  Thank you so much!

Going forward, is it likely that something like this would happen again when doing regular publishing of updates of the site, or was it just an anomaly on the back end?

Cheers

Still not working here. When I do a search, I only get listings that I added today. All the rest is ignored.

We're fixing the root cause that affected indexing so this won't happen again in the future. Any affected site should be re-indexed within the next 24 hours as we process through any site that saw this. Thanks for your patience, everyone!
