Search function not working
I don't know what's happened but none of the items I test search for are showing up anymore
I tried using the word oil as there are a number of oil timers on there and they used to work but now nothing. Same for everything else I tried.
The only time it has worked is when I went back in and edited a product then resaved and published. But I don't want to do that to over 600 products
Please help ASAP!
Ta

I'm having trouble with my search too. Came across this thread after searching for help.
My search isn't in relation to products, but instead it's a general search that I'd like to pick up on keywords on various pages to create a filter. E.g. we are a music agency, so each artist has a page that lists their genre, setup, etc. I created a search bar so people could search for 'soloist' or 'acoustic' etc., but for some reason, only certain words are working in the search. The word 'duo' isnt giving any results despite one of our pages actually being CALLED 'folk duo' and featuring the word duo several times in the text on the page.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
The website is: www.musicorum.co.uk

This is what I see when I search for "duo" @samlyonmusic
Can you post a screenshot of what you see on your end?

It seems to be working now! Perhaps it takes 24 hours or so to update everything properly as I tried it multiple times even a few hours after and it was just coming up saying 'No results', but now I'm getting the same results as you, so looks like all is well

Hello @Bernadette
Thank you so much for replying super fast.
I would like to let people be able to search for a specific place such as Prague, which is one of the blog titles I have but it doesn't show up when I type Prague in the search bar.
Thanksx

Hello Bernadette
Do you mean publish to see if the change of the search bar works?

Hi @annandann It looks like the page is hidden from search engines. This will also block content from showing in the search results. You will need to unhide and publish in order for it to work.

Hello @Bernadette
Thank you for your help. However, after I unticked the box, published and waited for a few days, it still doesn't seem to work. Is there any possibility that it is not working?
Thank you

I started a re-index of your site from our end, @annandann. Once that completes your search should return blog posts, I think.

Hello @Adam
Thank you very much, some of the keywords are finally working now. However, some of them still doesn't work, such as Beach or Prague are still not working, is there any possible reason why some work and some don't?
Thank you!

Hi, the search function on my site is no longer working: www.scottishsporthistory.com The site has been going for several years so there is a mass of content.
Are you able to re-index the site?
Thanks, Andy

I just initiated the reindex. I believe the time frame is 72 hours, but it usually happens much quicker than that.

Great, many thanks. It was more like 72 seconds, not hours! Working already.
