Will there be a block button for customers?
Hi,
I really do love square but almost every other booking site gives the option to block customers. Will this ever be a thing or do I need to consider eventually switching?

Hi @egasperini1027. I’m making some guesses about where you want to block customers, since you weren’t more specific about your situation. If I guessed wrong, let me know and I’ll try again!
For online store payments, Square has a module called Risk Manager that is accessed through Payments -> Risk Manager. Here you can set up rules to alert you to potentially risky transactions, and so forth, as well as set up requirements for customer verification in various situations.
Part of that is the “Block List.” If you have an online customer that you no longer wish to allow, you can find that customer using the last 4 digits of their payment card (which should be tied to their name in your transaction history) and then block that card from any further purchases in your store. Of course, if they use a different card, there’s not much you can do about that except catch it and add it to the block list.

Hi Egasperini1027,
As with many Feature Requests that have been submitted, there's no timeline if they will be implemented or not. To date, I've submitted a Feature Request to simply have the Coupon feature an "option" which can be either enabled or not - presently this feature still is available at Checkout - it's a no brainer to make this optional to each seller however, Square has of yet considered this request. Bottom line, for me it's not a show stopper as I don't offer any Coupons so Square is still my credit card processor of choice.
As for your concerns, if blocking certain customers is a priority (and I understand why), then if another processing provider has that feature - perhaps switching would be the best way moving forward. Just my thoughts ....
