Who else is tired of Square doubling their prices?

Just got notified that if I want to keep my pricing for my website the same I'm going to have to delete my square account on Weebly and open up a different account and START ALL OVER! I'm so sick and tired of Square doubling the price of their product without ANY actual benefits. This nonsense is why I stopped using Square appointments! This switch is going to take me DAYS OF WORK to rebuild!! I'm going to find a different provider at this rate.

That sounds highly unusual, are you sure the communication was from Square? Lots of phishing/scammers out there that will look like they're from a legitimate site and tell you to keep your account click here and then you're compromised.

I haven't seen or heard of any price increases, especially ones that require you to delete your square account.

Have you tried reaching out to Square directly? And not through whatever links or phone calls the email you received said to use.

Yes. They're charging more for their Weebly page, but Weebly itself is not charging more even though they're owned by the same company. So, if I want to keep my $ 17-a-month pricing to connect my domain and get rid of Square ads, I'm going to have to switch my account to a Weebly-only account. Otherwise, they're going to charge me $30 a month. They don't have any way of divorcing the accounts so I just have to start from the ground up and transfer my domain when I have a new website. And I have to do all of this before August first. I'm furious.

When you log in there's a banner at the top saying that the lowest tier price is no longer going to be available. I reached out directly through the site and have talked to both Square and Weebly about the change and they are not going to help me make the switch in any meaningful way. Just "if you run into any problems later on, let us know!" it's going to take me DAYS to make a new account and transfer my domain over to it.
