When my customers swipe their credit card I get an invalid location error credit card is declined

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Invalid location. Credit card declined for all my customers.

 

Hello,

 

When my customers swipe their credit card I get an invalid location error credit card is declinded.

 

Please help.

 

I'm in the United States.

I've been selling goods via credit cards for Years,  5 days a week.  

It was working fine yesterday

I shared my location to square app Via my Ipad

I checked my square account, it shows my city/State location , which is in the United States.

I restarted the Sqaure app.

I restarted the Ipad

The Ipad has never left the country

 

Urgent Please help .  I'm losing customers.

I would like to say at the time the square moderator posted their post, my issue was not resolved.  I was giving suggustions on what I can do to try to fix my issue.  I do not appreciate someone replying and say my issue was resolved when it was not.

 

 

Secondly,  My issue was later resolved on the same night.  

 

My solution was the Mag stripe reader needed to be replaced.  (phsycially it looked fine, but maybe it was damaged or accumulated dirt) 

 

After replacing it credit card swipes were working again flawlessly.

I get " invalid location " even for manually entered cards

Can you let us know which device you're seeing this issue on? If you have a Square Terminal, give resetting the device a try, and make sure your time zone matches your location. Let us know how you go, and which environment you're experiencing this in so we can better assist.
