Unauthorized used requesting verification code

An unknown person has been requesting access to our account, with multiple verification codes being texted to my phone. Is this a known scam? How do I protect our account?

Hello @NYCFSP !

Yeah, that's kinda scary.

The TFA codes are only texted once someone gets past your email and password, so I definitely recommend heading over to Dashboard -> Account & Settings -> Personal Information -> Sign in & Security and updating your password. When you do this, you'll have the option to immediately force all logged in devices to log themselves out. Do this please.

Make sure your new password isn't easy to decipher or one that you use on anything else. And, if your old password is one that you use anywhere else I would encourage you to update all those too.

Once that's done, keep an eye on things. Hopefully the TFA requests stop.

Make sure you have two step verification installed.  Change your email immediately.  I had this happen over last weekend. They were able to change the bank account my funds were transferred into and added a Debit Card for transfer.  I caught it just in time.  Now my funds are frozen and Payroll is coming up!
