Transfer Settings Missing - Cancel Automatic Transfer

Hello all,

 

So I'm trying to cancel automatic transfers (where it transfers money to my bank account each night). From what I read online, I'm able to go to transfers then settings and select deposit schedules and such....however this is nowhere to be found. 

 

When I go to that page or any settings page regarding this, the only option I'm given is to link a new account or add an account. But no other settings are available. 

 

How do I go about stopping this or finding the settings?

This Support Center article should be updated here to where it goes over how to set up manual transfers.

 

The steps are: 

 

  1. Navigate to Settings in your online Square Dashboard or Square Point of Sale app.

  2. Select Balance.

  3. Under Transfer Schedule > select Manual.

Thanks for the reply. I've been able to get to that page, but that's the page that doesn't have any options for transfer schedules. It only shows the option to change the bank account or add a new one but there are no other options on the transfer settings page.

Just for clarity, are you attempting to activate the Manual status with your deposits?

I'm having this same problem. I have two locations (I would love to just have one but I made a second a long time ago and trying to get rid of it always seems to make things weird). One location has the option for automatic transfer, the other does not and I have no idea why there is a difference. I wish I could just delete the problematic location but again that causes other issues and it can't really be deleted just deactivated. I've attached two screenshots of the transfers page for each location and the different settings are obvious. Any idea how to get them the same? The first photo does not have a "transfer schedule" option.

Not really. I still have both locations in my account. I think the reason I can't auto transfer with one location is because I had set up a Square checking account. The funds are transferred there and I guess they don't want to do auto transfers elsewhere if that is set up. At least that's my best guess. I'm not sure if canceling the checking account would allow me to delete the other location though. I haven't looked into this in a while honestly, not worth the effort at this point.

Hi @JceProp, thanks for posting. 

 

I wanted to clarify exactly what you are trying to set up. 

 

If you don't want to receive automatic transfers, which are transfers to your linked bank account automatically every business day, then you will need to switch to manual transfers. 

 

With manual transfers, you choose when to transfer your money. Your funds will be available in your Square balance, and you can decide when to transfer them to your linked bank account. Your funds will then arrive in your bank account the next business day. 

 

You can enable manual transfers from your Balance Dashboard > Transfer Settings > Manual.

Did anyone figure this out?  I have been trying to adjust my automatic transfer settings for over a week now. The transfer schedule tab does not exist. I have tried on two different browsers and the mobile app. I have watched a how to video and chatted with support which kept telling me the same directions over and over to no avail. Please someone have any insight to why the option to edit transfer schedule seems to have disappeared?
