Register Software

Hello everyone, A buddy of mine is giving me a Square register but says it has no software. I’m confused by that? Would I just sign into what I have? Its not new its used. He has no use for it i said i would take it. Is this thing a paper weight?

So for my understanding, it sounds like your friend has wiped the entire OS completely from the Square Register. I would also recommend that you check out this support article as well.
