I have a weebly website and the domain name was purchased from namecheap. I was getting security warnings when clicking my site, so I purchase SSL from namecheap. It now tells me to install the SSL certificate I need to generate something called a csr code, but I can't figure out how to do this. Help!

Hi @taoschlep. Since you purchased your SSL certificate from NameCheap, you need to work with them to get their CSR certificate. Here’s a link to their help document on that subject, but you might want to call them for help. Honestly, I’ve done this sort of stuff for decades and I found their help to be very confusing and misleading.
Having said that, I’m confused. Weebly has a toggle in settings to turn SSL off and on. I’m not sure why you needed to purchase an SSL certificate from NameCheap at all. Just edit your website in Weebly, go to Settings. Somewhere in the middle you’ll see an SSL section. Enable SSL and follow the prompts. That should secure your site for you and, hopefully, you can get a refund on your unneeded NameCheap certificate.

@taoschlep Perfect. Thank you!
So, edit your website. Select the navigation bar, then click “Edit Links.” You’ll see two Gift card links in your navigation bar. Delete one of them and republish your site. That should do the trick!

Thank you so much! It worked!
I tried to follow other forum advice on SSL enabling, but they all forgot one step, which is that you click weebly, then edit website (I have three), THEN click settings on the top bar of the website, then what you said about scrolling halfway down.
Thank you so much!
