Month/year view report that shows only number of transactions per day?

How do I run a report that includes only the number of transactions per day over time. For example, I want to compare transactions per day Jan 24 to Jan 23.  Is there a simple way to sort for this? The transaction csv is WAYYY to much info.

Now from the Desktop you could go to Transactions Select the date Jan 23rd and then view that on a computer OR print it out. Then change the date to Jan 24th and View or Print these out with your web Browser.  This way would be slow since you need to do this for every day.  There is an example of this for using the desktop Transacations in the link below.

The csv way would be the easiest way and using a Pivot table with Count instead of Sum for each day.

Which program are you using to view the transactions csv?

If you open the Transacations CSV with either Excel or Google Sheets, then click any  cell, then choose Insert from the top Ribbon and choose A Pivot table to a new sheet you can do this exactly.  

The other thing is you did not say which Transacations csv you downloaded, since there are 3 to choose from, Transactions Detail, Transactions Items, and Transaction Summary.

What are you tryingto compare for the Transacations perday vs what.... number of transactions, daily sales quantity or gross sales?

Here is another user asking for the Number of transacation per year, in the article I have a screen shot showing my excel screen with the Number of Transacations Per month.  To the Left of the Month column if I press the "+" all the days of the month are shown. And would give the Quantity of Sales per day of Credit Cards for Visa.  If I remove the Filter or select All Credit Cards this would show all Credit card sales if using the filter or by removing the Filter in the box you would get all Transactions for the days shown.
