I just created my Square account and added Items using Square's web interface. When I loaded the app on my iPhone the categories to which each of these items were assigned show up, but not the items themselves. I'm not quite sure what the issue could be. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance.

@mcoen78 I looked into this for you and I was able to identify what was causing this to happen.
It looks like you created a location within your Dashboard, which enabled the Multi-Location style Square account.
When you enable the Multi-Location management features, you'll want to make sure each item that you've created in your Item Library is assigned to the specific location that you're taking payments at.

Hi @mcoen78
That does sound strange.
Any items you create through your Square Dashboard should appear in your Square Point of Sale app so long as you're signed into the same account.
Did you make sure that you're signed in with the same email address and password? Sign out and sign back in to see if that helps.

Hi EJ_
Yep I am signed in with the same credentials. The odd thing is the categories I created using the dashboard appear in the POS, but not the items I placed into those categories.

I have this same problem and Square Support replied, "Currently you will have to do create each item again for POS." I specifically asked why Categories show up, but not items when I set up POS. (And yes, each item has a location identified.) If this is true, why doesn't Square warn you that whatever items you set up on the web interface will have to be set up again on the POS? This makes no sense. Did I get bad advice from Square Support?

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. Items created in Dashboard will definitely sync to the POS app. As EJ mentioned above, each item that created in your Item Library is assigned to the specific location.
Can you confirm the POS app is signed into the correct location? Can you sign out and sign back in? Sometimes signing back in acts as a 'system refresh' and properly syncs newly created items.

Yes, location is correct. I signed out and back in - and did not solve problem. If you have any other ideas, please respond. Appreciate your input.

Hmm, not sure then. Reach out to CS so they can take a deeper look. Sounds like a bug.

I believe I'm having a similar issue to the above problems, where I've created the items in my dashboard, assigned them to my location, made sure to have created the SEO info for each of them, and made sure they are visible. I have 16 items in one category and only 10 of them show up on my website...

Hi @Mega_n,
I noticed it's your first post, welcome to our community 👋
I was able to look at your website and I saw 12 items listed. Would you mind sharing which items aren't showing?
