How to disable SSL for attaching a URL purchased outside of Weebly

I copied another website of mine for using as a template, and SSL was already set up for that initial/copied website so SSL is active on the new weebly (.weebly.com) website, too, but cannot be disabled for connecting a URL purchased elsewhere. It's been roughly two weeks, and I still can't attach it. I created two A records, one with a * that I think should allow for connecting to an https website, but it's not working.

This thread https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Weebly-Website/Domain-not-connecting/m-p/673028#M1989 confirmed that my guess was correct about SSL being the problem. The only remaining issue then is that I cannot disable SSL before attaching the domain name because the disable option is grayed out.

Sorry @JE5 for not getting back to you sooner.  So in that case, you may need to contact support this way they should be able to disable the SSL from the back end , and get things pointed in the right direction and then enable a new SSL or you for your site once that is set.

HI @JE5

So just to be clear, you have two domains, both with their own SSL .  You are looking to simply point the old site to be redirected to your new site, is that correct?

Thank you for your reply. No, I don't have two SSLs. I have one Weebly website that has a .weebly.com extension for now. That weebly website has SSL set up. And I have an official .com URL purchased elsewhere (just the domain name) that I need to connect to the weebly-designed website.

Hi again @JE5

Okay I gotcha so you are looking to do a domain forwarding from the one domain to your Weebly site correct?  Or have you got that part figured out , and you are looking to just attach the SSL for both sites?

What are your sites addresses?

I don't know what domain forwarding is. But I have only one Weebly website (with a .weebly.com extension, no real domain name attached, yet, but I'm *trying* to attach a domain name) and one domain name purchased elsewhere (no website is attached to the domain name purchased elsewhere).

I think the problem I am having connecting the domain name to the weebly website is that SSL has already been set up for the weebly website and the disable option is grayed out. The weebly design software is not letting me UNDO the SSL so that I can attach the domain name to an http website BEFORE reenabling SSL.

My website is currently www.myfavoritewellnessproductsandmethods.weebly.com. I'm trying to connect www.myfavoritewellnessproductsandmethods.com to replace the .weebly.com.
