Add Donation Amounts
  1. Access Donation Settings

    1. Square Online →
      Website →
      Donations →
      Edit Settings
  2. Set Fixed Amounts
    1. Select 'Custom Amounts' →
      Add Amount →
      Enter: $25, $50, $100
Best Practices
  1. Donation Setup

    • Enable custom amounts (optional)
    • Set minimum donation (if needed)
    • Add donation description
    • Include thank you message
  2. Display Options

    • Choose button layout
    • Set default amount
    • Order amounts logically
    • Add donation goal (optional)
Additional Tips
  1. Keep amounts visible and clear
  2. Consider adding a custom amount option
  3. Include a meaningful description
  4. Test the donation process

Hi @Bobbyties123.  All you need to do is create an item of type Donation.  When you set it up, you can define the standard donation levels, and if you want you can allow for customer donation amount as well.  You can scroll to the bottom and create a payment link or buy button to add to your web page.  If you do that, be sure to click on the blue “Learn more” button to see the help documentation for payment links.

 

One more thing I’ll mention that often catches people off guard.  Unless your business is set up as a non-profit in Square, your donations will be included in your daily gross sales because that is the IRS requirement.  In order to reclass this in your accounting software, you will have to consult with your accountant for the proper procedures and best practices to ensure that you don’t actually pay taxes on donation amounts — assuming that you are donating them to a charitable cause.
