I deleted a category from my site and it still shows up on the website, it is no longer on the store side so I cannot delete it again. I do not know what else to do as I have tried everything, it has been two days so I have ruled out the server just playing catch up and I tried unpublishing and publishing the site as well.

Have you tried to delete both of the categories that were duplicated? It might be having an issue updating it if one was deleted but not the other.
I would delete the second one, give it a day or two, and then hopefully it will be gone.
Please Require Customers to pick time/date at checkout for Square online. Thanks!

I had the same issue with deleted categories showing up. Nothing I did helped including resetting my website. Finally got support to re-index my site and that finally solved the problem. Hope that helps.

HI, did you delete the Category within the Online Dashboard?
Online Dashboard, Items, Site Categories, select the Category click the 3 dots on the far right side, drop down menu Delete

I did delete it from Site Categories, it is still showing up on the actual Site though

Basically I got confused trying to make subcategories and by the time I figured it out I had created two categories that were named the same thing so I deleted the duplicate, but it is still showing on the actual Website

I'm having a similar issue. I deleted a sub-category from the dashboard & then the website editor & hit publish but the sub-category & its picture is still on my landing page. I have nowhere else to delete the sub-category. I've even searched into every one of my items that were connected to it & they are no longer. I really hope this goes away because otherwise I guess it'll just be stuck there.
I actually just fixed it after thinking of one more thing. I deleted the featured categories section, added new featured categories section, poof it's gone. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Does anyone have any suggestions with this but for an actual item? I cannot find the item anywhere (even when I search for it) within the dashboard but it is still showing on the customer front online store?

I have an issue where items are not deleted. Still shows on my site and goes to a 404 error page. I tried multiple browsers and cleared cache.

I'm having a similar issue. I deleted a category from Online > Items > Site Categories ("Vegan-friendly"). There is no duplicate/similarly named category, and this was a top level category with no subcategories below it.
From there, I went to Website > Edit Site and opened Page: Shop All. In Item List > Category links, "Vegan-friendly" is still showing up. When I try to move it, edit it, or delete it, the Editor UI tries to process but gets hung up with the spinning wheel and shielding.
I've tried hiding the category links, publishing the site, saving and closing the editor, and then coming back in to bring them back, but that deleted category still displays.
Is there a way to "reset" the default Category Links list? Is there a different way to fix this?

Hi, This same issue is now happening to me. I deleted the category months ago, but just now noticed it's still on my website. When I go into the website to delete it from there, I get the spinning wheel.

I have turned off the categories because I have a live shop update and can't have them cluttering the site, but there are 4 categories that are
Rainbow Critter Town
Cats Only
Dogs Only
On Sale!
These 4 categories have been deleted months ago and do not appear anywhere except on the website when I activate "Category Links". When I try to delete the categories through the Edit Site UI, it stalls with the spinning circle endlessly.
I have cleared cache and republished with no fix.
