Automatically Populate Email Marketing Footer Social Media Links?

So my location has all of my social media links and website links information since it shows up in settings and in my receipts - but every time I go to send an email through the Marketing system, I have to re-enter all of those handles and links, every single time.

Why can't these just automatically populate with the info elsewhere? Or at least remember them from one email to the next?

Hey @creativereuse 

 

Square has since fixed this, and it definitely does auto-populate this info!

 

Make sure your info is filled in on your Locations page:

https://squareup.com/dashboard/locations

 

And that the location is defaulted in your marketing page:

https://squareup.com/dashboard/customers/marketing/settings

 

And then the first email Campaign that you draft, edit it in the Footer Information section at the bottom of the email. This should then automatically be put in on every other email you send!

 

For your Instagram user name, it should just be the handle, no @ sign or web address, just the handle name.

 

If it's still not doing it, I'd definitely recommend to contact the Square Customer Success Team, since it should definitely be working!

Hi @pessosices! The social media links in your campaign should automatically populate in your campaign if you've already saved them for your receipt in Account & Settings. I'm sorry to hear this isn't happening on your account! 

 

These Dashboard troubleshooting steps should fix this. Please make sure to clear the cache (browsing history) in your browser, and to try switching to another browser like Google Chrome or Safari.

 

If you still have to manually update our social media links after following the troubleshooting steps please let me know or contact our Support team directly. We'd be happy to investigate this further.

Thanks!

I do use Chrome, I've had cookies enabled, I cleared the cache, and it still does not automatically populate.

Thanks. Got a response saying that they wouldn’t auto populate and that I have to re enter them every time. I think that’s a little ridiculous.

And it still doesn't work and it's still ridiculous!

 

In fact, the footer icon fields will not accept my Instagram user name in any format.

 

More than ridiculous, it's stupid.

 

Why should I use Square marketing when it doesn't work and is poorly supported?

How do we contact customer service on this? mine will no longer apply either. I cannot find an email for customer service anywhere. only the assistant which is useless.
