Additional ticket prints after authorization slips

I have Square for Restaurants. When I run a guest's card, (1) the merchant authorization slip prints, (2) then the customer copy, then (3) an additional (unwanted) ticket prints. How do I stop the additional ticket from printing? We just throw it away, it's such a waste.

It sounds like the extra printout you're seeing after each card transaction may be a duplicate kitchen or order ticket that’s configured to print automatically with every sale.

 

To stop the additional ticket from printing, please follow these steps in your Square for Restaurants settings:

  1. Open your Square Dashboard and go to Devices.

  2. Select the relevant Point of Sale device.

  3. Under Printer Settings, review your Printer Stations.

  4. Check the settings for Order Tickets or Receipts, and disable any duplicate print options (e.g., "Print Order Ticket for All Orders" or "Print Additional Copy").

  5. Save your changes and test a transaction to confirm.

If you're still seeing that extra ticket after adjusting these settings, it might be linked to specific printer station rules or an assigned printer profile.
