Why did Cost and Units not transfer over from Faire Integration

Hello, I am new to square for retail and I linked my Faire account so that all my orders would transfer over. However, costs and units did not transfer. Now if I want to adjust this, I have to go in a manually change each item by adding units and cost. I think I accidentally chose this option when setting up the integration, but now it won't let me delete my catalog to try again to have the information automatically transfer over. It's taking me forever to update each individual item as I have a lot skus.  Please help!

Hey @adventuresprout.  A couple of things.

First, since you connected your Square Account to your existing Faire marketplace store and had Faire transfer your items to your Square catalog, the “why” of your question is one you need to ask Faire.  This is because third-party vendors are the ones who control the integration.  Square just provides the APIs that Faire uses to add items to your Square Item Catalog.

Secondly, it is possible that Faire has a way to “fix” your item integration so that the costs and units are also transferred to Square.  But, again, this is a question for Faire as they are the ones in control of the integration.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they told you to disconnect Faire from Square and start over again, however.  I’m hoping that is not what you have to do, but that might be the only way to make this right.

In any case, you need to reach out to Faire for guidance.  Sorry to not be able to help more.

Was my post helpful? Take a moment to mark it as a possible "best answer." I hate the term, and wish we could just mark posts as "helpful." But this is our only mechanism at the moment. Just remember "Best answer" should be interpreted as "helpful," and nothing more. LOL. "Best" (ugh) answers help folks possibly find solutions to similar problems they are hoping to solve.
