How to find top "day sales"
Being a relatively new business (3 years) I want to find our top 10 days in terms of gross sales over that time period. I don't want best month, best week, weekly, monthly or annual "trends". I want to know what days did I hit record gross sales. Is there a way to download a daily total for all days over a certain time period into Excel. I can then sort the data to find the days and dates of the highest sales. I could use this data to also find things like Monday average daily sales among other things. How can I get this raw data?

Hey @ronloza !
Square limits you to a year of data at a time, but there's a way to pull the information you need:
Web Dashboard -> Reports -> Sales Summary
Choose your date range, Change the Summary button to Daily
Export to CSV
You'll get a report that shows your daily breakdown. Since it shows the data horizontally though, you'll have to do some serious left to right scrolling. Perhaps someone with more Excel knowledge than me knows how to sort horizontal data? Sorting vertical is easy.... 🤔

Thank you so much, you answered my question. FYI, to make the Excel data easier to read just highlight the data on the sheet, right click the mouse, and select the "transpose" icon. Now the dates and sales are in a column form. Easy peasy to sort from here. Thank you again.

Thanks for the Excel tip! All the banging around I do in there and I never knew about the Transpose function. Way cool! 🤘
