Programming Enter Key into barcode scanner LS2208

How do I program the LS2208 so I can use the button on my barcode scanner to send an Enter Key?

Example, when I scan a bottle of water it shows a screen with the item description, a bottle deposit, sales tax and option to enter a quantity.  In the upper right hand corner there is a ADD button.  If I am reading the internet correctly, there is supposedly a code I can scan so I can use my barcode scanner trigger to Enter (click on) the ADD button.  Does Square Register recognize this option?  I have tried scanning the barcode which is on the Symbol LS2208 Quick Start Guide.  I hear the beeps indicating the scanner was programmed but when I try it on the product, nothing happens.  I have since reset the scanner back to factory. Hey there @mattbb if you have tried our Barcode Scanner Troubleshooting Steps with no success then, there are only two things left to try.

The first one would be to change the setting on your Dashboard for items to be added immediately to the cart. 

This can be found on the edit item screen. Here's what it looks like:

If that doesn't work then you will wanna reach out to our support team for them to look into this matter closely.

If I'm not mistaken I think the code on the quick start guide you scan for enter, is just a virtual command to press the enter key. For instance: when you scan the bottle of water the barcode reader just scans the number. It has to have the enter command to execute the the bottle of water barcode, if not it square pos wouldn't pull up the water and the price. 

Does the ADD button come after the scan price? If so you could try scan the tab key barcode and see if it will jump to the ADD button. The code to scan is on page 9 of the quick start guide.
