Square Contactless Chip Reader with Square Register

We have a major pain point at one of our locations which has a drive-thru. We have gone through 5 12' cables because our register is too far from our window. 

Does anyone know if the contactless chip reader for iOS is compatible with Square Register? I'm trying to avoid buying a stand, but without a longer cable available, we might have no choice. Any input is appreciated!

Unfortunately, the two devices are not compatible. Are your cables breaking due to forcing it to reach the window? I'm not sure if there is a longer option available, but I can ask around.

Yes, the reach is the problem. It would be great for some sort of handheld or something that could be wirelessly connected for payments.

The chip reader is bluetooth also, have you tried that? or is it to far also? Bluetooth will operate up to 30 ft. but I'm not sure how far the bluetooth on the chip reader with reach. 

Another option is the square terminal. You can connect that to square POS, they don't have to be connected to each other or be on the same network, both just have to be connected to the internet. I know the terminal is higher than a square stand, but it is portable and not attached. Here is the link to it.
