Powering Square Stand with power bank?

I recently got the new Square Stand (2nd generation). My Square Stand would also be used at events, green market and popup shops.

Is it possible to power my Square Stand with a power bank that has enough watt? I was looking into getting a 65W power bank.

If you get a powerbank that has a standard outlet in it I would think you would be fine DEPENDING on how long you want it to work for and how many accessories you have connected....receipt printer, cash drawer, scanner etc.  Will a 65 watt Powerbank last 8-10 hrs at a popup event would be the bigger question.  Since the Ipad has its own battery that would help power the Ipad and maybe a little of the readers for the 2nd Gen Square Stand it may last.  I like your thinking for this idea to help the Ipad Stands be used at more than a physical location.  As long as you make sure the powerbank has a plug for your Stand.... here in the US we would need a powerbank similar to this one on Amazon:

65Watts-Portable-Charger-Battery-Notebooks

Do they make a bigger Power bank?

Or maybe one that takes a rechargeable battery that you use for your power tools?

RYOBI-150-Watt-Power-Inverter-for-ONE-18V-Battery-Tool-Only

Like I said the biggest issue is how long you need it for and how quickly you could recharge it if it died.  I like the idea of the Ryobi 150, if it dies make sure you have an extra battery would be ideal if you use that line of tools.  The one from Dewalt that holds 4 batteries would be ideal but at $500 or so the Ryobi sounds a lot better.  Or get extra 65 watt power banks and keep them charged when heading out if one is not enough for days worth of sales.   Like I said I like your idea, just trying to give you more ideas if that does not store enough power for a day.

Well I was thinking about an inverter as well. But I didn't want to have too much big and heavy stuff. I wanted to keep it as minimal as possible. So a power bank would be great.

Something over 20k mAh would be the ideal thing.

I think I'll take a chance and buy it to see if it powers it, because my regular power bank doesn't push so many watts to even turn it on.

Thanks for the suggestions though. If it doesn't work then I'll get a portable power supply or an inverter.

Having the same dilemma. I assume there is a portable battery when used in combination with a high quality USB C cable that could handle it no?

@jasonwilsonfl;

Both the Power packs I have links to have a 110 volt outlet and USB ports that could run power through USB to whatever came with your device.  I was just looking at something to power the 110 v Square Stand through a normal outlet.  So since both these have USB power they could charge Ipads, Iphones, Androids Tablets and Android Phones or anything that came with a USB charging cable.  Plus you could just power the device by a regular Plug or maybe power a receipt printer with the 110 and the USB to power the tablet etc.

Try this.    It will power anything.  I had it powering my laptop and an Ipad for 8 hours.  It does need a solid 10 hours to recharge fully, but it really works.

I reached out to Square support and they sent me a link to this thread but I do not think it is really answering our issue. We were using a Power Fort Portable Power Station model XY150S which does an AC Output of 100-120V/60HZ and it worked just fine for years (and still does) for the 1st Gen. Square stand. Well, we recently upgraded iPads and got the 2nd Gen. square stand but the Portable Power Station doesn't work with this one. These links to other external power supplies do not seem to have any different specs to the current one we have so I am unsure any of these will work. Can anyone recommend/guarantee a portable power supply that works with the 2nd Gen. stand? Our will only charge the iPad but the connection to the readers (which are built in) keeps dropping so transactions are declined/cannot go through unless we plug into an indoor power source currently. Does the 2nd Gen. stand require a much stronger output to support the readers? Any help soon would be greatly appreciated.

@GOTRCenMD ;

What is the Power Rating on the adapter for the new Square stand?

I only have the original ones and see the power of Input AC 100-240V with Output 12DV - 2DA, 24 DW.

Now do not ask me what that all means but Check the output of the New Square Stands power brick to see it the numbers are higher than these and under what your power bank can Output.

Here is a BAD image of my Old Square Stands Power Brick.

The Power input and Output is above the plug in the small light grey print.
