We have one StarMicronics Ethernet Kitchen Printer connected to one IOS device that is used primarily for printing and marking Online Orders and it works well. We want to add at least one more seperate IOS POS device to receive, enter and print phone orders to the same printer.
We have done this successfully, but then multiple duplicate order tickets are printed. I am aware that this is a know problem. Looking for suggestions. Can we set up a different printer profile on each device to solve this?

I currently have 2 Ipads printing Receipts to one Ethernet printer. I used the same Printer Profile I believe. When I create 2 Printer Profiles is when I would get 2 receipts I believe. Currently my receipt printer, can print from my two Square Stands, 1 mobile Ipad, and 2 Android cell phones.
Currently my receipt printer prints 1 receipt. I have set this up to print 2 when Square is having issues. I would check your Settings in your profile to see that the Printer is only assigned to print the Online Order Ticket, and not a Ticket stub or receipt or something similar.
Here are my current settings to print 1 receipt from any of my devices. :
I print my receipts manually, so I get a prompty to text, email or Print a receipt after each transaction. Most of my customers do not want a receipt so I save paper this way.
If you look in the image above, there are at least 3 ways to print Tickets, if you have 2 Online Order Tickets to be printed by the same printer but 2 different profiles you would get 2 Tickets. Computers are not smart enough to know they are the same, and think your are printing this to two different physical locations. Think Meat station and side dish order areas for example.
The other thing is setup a Static IP address with your Printer.

I had issues when I would loose power. The printer would get a different IP address and one of my security cameras was also getting the same static address. After setting a static address I have not had the issue.

Thank you @Candlestore for chipping in, this is all very helpful information. You are correct, you should be able to set it up where you are not getting duplicate order tickets.
@SMA-FF, you mentioned setting up a different printer profile and we actually do have a function for setting up printer profiles, if you would like to learn more about that.
