Hi everyone,
I have been having a nightmare for the past week going backwards and forward with Square and 123Reg. My site was online last week then suddenly came off. Since then we put in new DNS records and removed the old ones. This removed a Weebly icon from my 123reg DNS records also. Now it is not secure. 123 reg initially said that Square should provide my SSL certificate because they host the store. Sqaure is saying it is 123 reg.
I have seen a few cases on here with the same issue between 123reg and Square. I don't have the £71 to pay for the certificate with 123reg and am hoping there is another way. Please help.

Hey there @ChloBear. Your post in in “Square online” but you mention “Weebly” also. Since I’m not exactly sure which editor you are using (Square Online vs. Weebly) I’m going to give you an answer for both.
First, for Square Online sites, SSL is automatically enabled and added to your site when you publish it.
For Weebly sites, you need to edit your site, head to Settings. On the main setting screen you’ll see an SSL section. If it does not say “Enabled” there, then there will be an Enable button you can use.
One last thing, again because your post is not really clear at all. IF you manually changed your DNS (which is NEVER, EVER recommended unless you are a website pro and know what you are doing), then there is no telling what has gotten messed up here. In this case, I would recommend that you first UNPUBLISH your site, then republish it, using the appropriate Square Online/Weebly editor. This time, unless you have a very good reason, do not be mucking around in the DNS at all.
Feel free to reply, clarify things, provide screen shots, etc, if you run into any issues with this.
