Two questions here:
1.How can I get my list modifiers to show up online?
2. Is it possible to input my own colors for the options text and color option? I would need to be able to put photos and not just the hex code for colors.

Hi @NikkiDMN !
I know this thread has a ton of replies, but I am going to provide a comprehensive answer that just gets down to the basics of your question with some solutions and workarounds, as my friends above have provided some insights as well.
To ensure your list modifiers appear on your online store:
-
Check Modifier Settings
- Go to Items → Modifiers in your Square Dashboard
- Verify the modifier is marked as "Available Online"
- Ensure it's properly linked to the correct items
-
Common Issues to Check
- Make sure modifiers are:
- Active/enabled
- Properly synced
- Attached to the right items
- Not restricted to in-person only
- Make sure modifiers are:
-
Troubleshooting Steps
- Clear your site cache
- Refresh your Square Online settings
- Re-sync your catalog if needed
Currently, Square Online has some limitations with color customization:
- Basic color options use hex codes
- Photo upload isn't available for color swatches
Workarounds You Can Try:
-
For Colors
- Use the available color picker
- Create descriptive color names
- Add detailed color descriptions
-
For Product Photos
- Use variant photos instead of color swatches
- Create separate items with specific photos
- Add detailed image descriptions
-
Product Variants
- Create variants with specific photos
- Use detailed descriptions
- Include color information in item details
-
Alternative Display Methods
- Add color photos to item descriptions
- Use product gallery images
- Include color charts in product photos

Can I just say WOW ! you’ve opened up an area I knew nothing about ! Liner pen for detail work on nails. Chrome detail… 24k Gold Paint ! . Your site is massive ! And all those choices! Well done…..!
The only thing I reckon could make things clearer is if you bought a tiny dynamo printer - like they have in jewellery stores - to label all the colour sticks but that’s being picky! You definitely know how to use “online “ well done again!….
Another workaround - If you have photoshop (you might be able to do this in adobe express probably premium) is to create a template document with the colour swatches eg a box divided into 9, 12 or 16 layers (the modifier image is set Square on your Square) and fill each box with the hex code add all the hex codes onto one - and label them the colour. This is a huge job for something relatively simple - I think what you have is great.

Hi! My question is the opposite, I sold an item, and it shows out of order of course, So I went to my inventory and deleted the listing, that was in January and keeps showing on my website. I don't know what else to do to delete the listing. I would appreciate any help with this issue 🙂

@NikkiDMN
You've gotten a lot of great responses here.
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this might be a part of your issue: variations are selected at time of booking; modifiers are seen only at checkout.
