I have had a physical gift store and recently decided to go the ecommerce route with Square Online. My problem is that when I first started the site Square synced all items (almost 900, including over 200 individual custom orders) from the POS to the online site. And now I have to scroll through hundreds of items to find one that I actually want to be online. It's frustrating and very time consuming. Is there a way to remove all these items, just from the online store and only add the items that I want in my online store one by one?

Hey there, @TumbleweedRanch. This should do what you want,
First, go to your online dashboard’s item directory. There you can remove all items from your store by clicking on the checkbox to the left of “Item” then clicking the Actions button at the bottom and selecting “Update sales channels.” Deselect the checkbox next to your online store and click the Update button.
One note. I don’t have a ton of items like you, so I can’t remember if there is a limit to the number of items you can select edit at one time. So be aware you might have to repeat that step a time or three.
After you have done that, you can use the same procedure, marking and editing ONLY the items that you do want in your store and changing their sales channels back to being on for the online store.
One last thing for future items. On that same menu, if you go to Settings > Item defaults, you can set defaults for future items. So, if you want any new items to default to NOT be in your store, edit the default for Online channels and, possibly, Site visibility.

yes there is a 250 item limit so you might need to use the filter to get the number more manageable.
You can also hide and reveal whole categories with that setting change too
