Will email address be visible when customer opts-in to join email list?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "When a person opts in via the email pop-up in Square website, is that email still masked by Square?"

 

We have initiated the request to join email list when someone visits our website. 

Question:

1) If a person does join the mail list "opt-in", is there email address still masked by Square?

 

2) If a person opts-in via the email collection pop-up, where is that indicated in their customer profile, that they have chosen to opt-in? I'd like to have the date they opted in and that they chose to do that via the website noted in their profile. Do I have to create a field to capture that info?
