Does Square provide the ability to create rows of products with links in marketing emails?

Hello.

I am trying to determine if there's a way in Square's email marketing platform to create columns of photos, text, links, etc.. in an image/text area rather than using just one photo/text in the assigned area. It doesn't appear there's an ability to scale an image, which would allow for more space on each side to add more images.

Example. I want to show 3 smaller-size products with product links in a horizontal row.

I am not a "coder", but do have the ability to utilize photoshop to create the images I want, but linking that to products seems problematic.

What I'm asking is, am I missing Square's ability to provide more design-friendly emails rather than follow their "standard" width for image/text?

Your thoughts and guidance are appreciated.

Square's email marketing platform does have some limitations when it comes to customizing the layout of images, text, and links. Here are a few suggestions to achieve the design you're looking for:

  1. Using the Built-in Tools:

    • While the platform may not support scaling images directly within the editor, you can use the available layout options to create a more customized look. Try using multiple columns or sections to arrange images and text in a more flexible manner.
    • Explore the "Image + Text" blocks and see if arranging multiple blocks can help achieve a similar effect to what you're envisioning.
  2. Creating Custom Graphics in Photoshop or Canva:

    • As you mentioned, you can use Photoshop or Canva to design a single image that includes multiple product photos and links. Once you've created the image, you can upload it to Square's email editor. However, linking individual products within a single image isn't possible directly within the platform.
    • To work around this, you can create separate sections for each product, allowing you to add individual links to each product.
  3. HTML Customization:

    • If you or someone on your team has some basic HTML knowledge, you can use the custom HTML block to create a more complex layout. This approach would allow for greater flexibility in design, including creating columns of photos, text, and links.
    • For assistance with HTML, you can find templates or simple HTML generators online to create the desired layout.
  4. Third-Party Integrations:

    • Consider using a more advanced email marketing platform that integrates with Square, such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact. These platforms offer more design flexibility and might better suit your needs for creating more intricate email layouts.

Unfortunately, Square's email marketing tool is designed to be simple and user-friendly, which sometimes means fewer customization options. However, by combining the built-in tools with some external design work, you can still create effective and visually appealing emails.

I hope this helps! 🙂
