just opened my square site and put it on my instagram bio as a link, it works fine until you click on it through the insta link which then brings up the error saying that there is an issue with this sites security certificates. Please help!!!

@Linkup,

It can take 24-48 hours to generate the SSL certificate, the warning you are getting is because the domain does not match the current certificate.

If you check here:

https://squareup.com/help/au/en/article/7189-get-started-with-domains-for-square-online

The section regarding SSL Is still relevant.

In short, if you just wait a while the issue will resolve once Square generates the SSL certificate in the background.

This will be triggered all over again if you change the url, so perhaps set it to what you want while you can...

In the meantime, you can work on your site content, just ignore the warning.

Regards,

Bruce

Heya @Linkup 👋

I'm sorry trouble has brought you to the Seller Community! I noticed it's your first post here, so welcome.

Can you share a link to your site so we can take a look? If you've recently updated your domain, your SSL certificate might take 24-48 hours to propagate. I'll keep an eye out for your reply 😊

Thanks for sending this through, @Linkup. The link you provided also came up with an error for me because it forwards to https://thelinkup. When typing it like this the site comes up fine: https://thelinkup.square.site
