Two unique combinations exist for the same item - one with GST included and one without

Hi

 

We would like GST to be included in all of our item prices. We currently have GST set to be included in the price and have GST turned on and applied to all items. However when viewing sales reports GST is sometimes being included on an item and then other times is set to zero on the same item.

 

When we look at our item report there appears to be two unique combinations for the same item - one that includes GST and one that doesn't.

 

Why would this be occurring and how can we ensure that GST is included in the price of all our items?

You can edit the tax settings for your items here. Click on your GST tax and scroll to Tax Application:

 

Depending on whether all your items attract GST or not, you can select either All taxable items or Select Items. When select items is checked, you'll want to make sure that both the variations of the item you've created are listed.

Hi Arie

 

Thanks for your suggestion. We do have our Tax Application settings set to All Taxable Items as you have suggested above, however when we look at our Category Sales Report GST is only being applied to a very small proportion of sales. There does not seem to be any consistency between item sales either, e.g. in one transaction a particular item will not include GST in the sale price but in the next transaction the same item will show GST. Could there be a problem at the actual point of sale and the way the operator is entering the sale?
