Dashboard functions differ to App for recording payments
Why is the dashboard for taking and recording payments so different to the app?
In the dashboard which I work from 95% of the time, when I want to take a payment I cannot:
- add a direct deposit payment for the date it was received
- add a note to the treatment / item so that I can include customer name, date of service, and item numbers for health insurance rebates
- add any discounts
- modify the total amount.
I have to continuously perform everything on the dashboard/desktop, then pick up my phone and do everything through the app instead.
This looks extremely unprofessional as it can take a few minutes each time to complete, and is a total pain in the rear.
Why cannot the dashboard / desktop and the app have ALL of the exact same functionality??

Hi, @HOPandSNC, we appreciate you taking the time to share your honest feedback with us.
While I can't speak to the reasoning behind each point of difference between the online Square Dashboard and app, these differences certainly vary depending on which app and feature you are referring to.
Are you able to confirm the app you are currently using (e.g. Square Point of Sale, Square Invoices)? Furthermore, how are you currently attempting to process these payments through the online Square Dashboard?
Once I have a better understanding here I'll be able to respond in greater detail.
Thanks, @HOPandSNC, I'll keep a lookout for your reply on my end.
