Why doesn't my website load?

[Note: The title of this post has been edited by a moderator.]

Whenever I try to load my website, chrome times out and says it's not responding. I have also tried it on safari and the same thing occurs. Please help! I have added a lot recently, but I have more to add and I need this to work by wednesday.

Website is here

If your website doesn't load for you, there are a few different reasons why that might be happening:

  1. If you are using a custom domain, make sure that the domain is pointed to Weebly correctly. Be sure to allow time for any DNS changes to fully propagate, as it can take 24 to 48 hours for that to happen.
  2. Check to see if any ad blocking, antivirus, or firewall software on your computer is not blocking your site or our IP range (199.34.228.*).
  3. You may also need to contact your internet service provider and make sure that they are not blocking our IP range as well.
  4. It may also be some other kind of internet issue between you and our servers. I have seen in the past where a hub in between us and you was having issues, so it ony affected a small subset of online services and sites.

I have the same problem for pamevers.weebly.com . How do I get the website to function. It hasn't happened to me before, I don't understand because the rest of weebly works, except for my site. And when I searched for some other sites in the comments it also didn't work.

This is an ongoing issue with Weebly. It has happened to me often, and the only solution I've found to stop it is to get increased internet speed.

Although other platform editors will load at slower speeds, Weebly often fails at it.

Thanks for your response, but that means that other people with slow internet, can't access my website... This really sucks, just updated my whole website, but now no one can access it.. I should've sticked to WordPress

pam1,

It won't affect guest access to your site. It only causes trouble with the site editor loading,at leastways that has been the cases for me.

I also left WordPress for Weebly.

Ultimately, I've encountered trouble with all of the domain platforms, of one sort or another.

I used my mobile phone as a hot spot while waiting on a replacement router for our home WiFi. Weebly editor loaded and operated well with it. Still, it was frustrating to realize Weebly was the only site editor that's wouldn't work during a slightly slower WiFi speed, while my WordPress and Google Blogger site were fully operational from their editor dashboards.

Sorry for the trouble, @pam1. It looks like your ISP is currently blocking us. We've reached out to them to resolve this, although it helps if you also contact them to complain since most ISPs will listen best to their own customers.

Same thing here. Mine does not work on 2 out of three browsers. The one that works is Microsoft Edge.

Hi @mark4d Are you using the same device when you are able to access from Edge?

Yes I am using the same home desktop computer using Windows 10. It appears that something is different about Edge that allows it to work when two other browsers do not. The two other browsers work just fine other than on your website when loading the editor. I should also point out that when editing your site using Edge it sometimes glitches and will not work. If I publish the page the editor begins working correctly once again. This happened several times within minutes of each other. This results in taking a long time to complete the editing. Good luck figuring this out. My guess is its somewhere in your site.

Do you happen to know if the other browsers are up-to-date? Here's a help article that explains what browsers will and will not work with the editor: https://www.weebly.com/app/help/us/en/topics/browser-support-faq

The three browsers I used are Brave, Chrome, and Edge. I run a update program weekly to find any program, including browsers, that need to be updated. So yes, they are up to date. I also manually run Windows Update several times a week. I am retired with a lot of free time. Gives me something to do. I have used Chrome for years with your website untill just recently when this problem came to my attention. Perhaps look into a windows update or a possible browser extention that has effected your site. I vaguely remember adding an extention to Chrome and/or changing the settings but cannot be certain of what I did as I do not remember. I could of done this weeks ago and since I do not edit your site very often I did not notice a problem untill this week.
