Whenever I try to load my website, chrome times out and says it's not responding. I have also tried it on safari and the same thing occurs. Please help! I have added a lot recently, but I have more to add and I need this to work by wednesday.

If your website doesn't load for you, there are a few different reasons why that might be happening:

  1. If you are using a custom domain, make sure that the domain is pointed to Weebly correctly. Be sure to allow time for any DNS changes to fully propagate, as it can take 24 to 48 hours for that to happen.
  2. Check to see if any ad blocking, antivirus, or firewall software on your computer is not blocking your site or our IP range (199.34.228.*).
  3. You may also need to contact your internet service provider and make sure that they are not blocking our IP range as well.
  4. It may also be some other kind of internet issue between you and our servers. I have seen in the past where a hub in between us and you was having issues, so it ony affected a small subset of online services and sites.

Welcome to the Community, @User-web01, and thanks for your first post!

Did you recently renew a service that had expired? It looks like all you need to do is publish your site again. I'm assuming it was un-published because a site upgrade expired.

I am also having the same problem. My website will not load no matter which browser I use. Is there a fix to this?

Hello. I'm having the same problem on my school's weebly-based website -- it won't load today (I first noticed the problem yesterday while I was trying to update it). I hope you can please help me. I can see that the user who asked this question originally managed to solve it, but I can't find how in this thread. Thank you very much.

I think all you need to do is re-publish your site again, @eoiaracena, and then eoiaracena.weebly.com should work.

I am having this problem and I even had my internet service provider come out for a service call.  It is not my internet lines, it is Weebly.  Also, if your webpages won't load, how the heck do you publish?

This is an older thread, @lthornton but what happens when you try to login to your account? Can you try using a different browser in private/incognito mode? I'm able to load the site in the editor without an issue.

Same problem. Have lost nearly 2 weeks of work not being able to edit unless using my mobile phone as a hotspot (in which case all works). Did anyone find a workaround?

Sorry to hear that, @southafricak. Are you still having trouble when not using a mobile hotspot?

Hi Adam, site editor loads when using a mobile hotspot, when on any other network than through my router. Can you give me a safe sites url or something to try to add to the router's white list options? Still struggling Smiley Sad

It sounds like it could be your ISP if it's just that network, although you can try adding both weebly.com and editmysite.com to the list of safe sites. If the software supports it would also add *.weebly.com and *.editmysite.com so all subdomains are also whitelisted.

Hi,

I am having the same problem with my site editor not being able to load on my laptop from last two days. I have gone through most of the comments and tried all the recommendations. I cleared my browser data, cache and cookies, unninstalled all extensions still unable to edit the site. I can open the editor on my mobile so I don't think its a ISP problem. I have made no changes to my web security settings and it was all working fine 2 days ago.

Any suggestions what the problem might be.

Thank you

We are still trying to pinpoint the issue, but so far the common factor seems to be McAfee. We have reached out to them to see if they are blocking us, but it would also help if you reach out as well. They can also walk you through how to add Weebly to a safety list. Try adding both weebly.com and editmysite.com

If that doesn't work can you please give us the following info:

Browser and version_
Operating system_
Firewall_
ISP_
Location_
Device type_

Hello I added my site to the trusted sites on chrome and I'm still having the same problem. I have the problem on and off. Some days it works, others it won't. It works on both my home and work connection, but sometimes it won't work at all. I've tried other browsers, explorer and firefox and all of them the same thing. I post homework for my students on it, and I need them to have access to it. Some complain that it spends 10 minutes loading but nothing comes up, while others have no problem. I thought they are too lazy to read what the browser is telling them until I had the same problem. There is no error message, everything looks fine, it just spins and loads for 5 minutes to give me a blank page. On all my sites. I also have hit and miss success logging in to update my website. Some days it works like a charm, on my personal computer, or work computer, on my home connection or school connection (I've tried my personal computer at work too). Other days, it just won't load. Finals are coming up, and I need my students to have access to the review sheets and sample answers.

If you're having intermittent trouble from different ISPs and computers, I wonder if the issue is something geographical in nature between you and our servers. How long has this been happening, @mrsleila?
