Uploading an image not working
Just using Chrome and trying to upload an image from my machine to an Image control in the page editor. The pop up window says "Uploading 0/1" and the blue bar is full but the dialog just hangs there.
A few weeks ago I had no trouble. Haven't attempted this operation in a couple of weeks. Neither does the editor allow me to drag and drop an image from my machine to the Image control/page widget.
Anyone else having this issue?
I'm running Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10.

Clear all browsing data, including advanced settings like passwords, etc. Is there a specific part of Chrome's cached data that just needs to be cleared? I hate having to use a nuclear option if it's not needed.
Thanks

Hi @abouffard This might be related to a current issue our ops team is trying to resolve. Is image upload the only error you are experiencing?

As I couldn't get an upload to work under Chrome, I then tried Safari, and the blue line got further along before stalling. Then I tried Firefox and it managed to get an image up and I was able to publish but it was very slow. However, the next image upload stalled with Firefox, so I gave up.

Strange... it sounds more like a network issue. What kind of internet connection are you using?

Instead of clearing data you can test loading the site in a private/incognito window. Or you can try using a brand new browser. Once you confirm the browser cache is the issue you can clear the cache/cookie for the individual site.

Hi @GG2 Welcome back to the Community 😊
Do you happen to know the file size of the image you are uploading? Can you confirm if you are having the same issue when you try to upload the same image to a different section of the site?

I cleared my browser history and a few other options, but not passwords and such. That seemed to make a difference and now I can upload an image.
Doesnt really explain why something in the cache messes up image uploads.
Thanks for the rapid replies.
Happy New Year!

Yes. It used to work up to about a month ago and I could add slideshows etc. Now nothing happens. The image appears full screen but does not embed anywhere in the site. I've updated Chrome and cleared the cache. Running High Sierra on a MacBook. This is very frustrating and there are no answers or fixes that I can find. www.2timetheatre.com

It sounds like your browser is just loading the image in the open tab. When I check the last login for your account it shows the version of Mac OS as 10.11.6, which is Mac OS El Capitan. Can you try upgrading to the newest version of Mac OS you can run? Mac OS Mojave is the newest at the moment and is free in the Mac App Store.
