In Powerpoint save your presentation as a video and then embed the video...

Our own document element doesn't support PPI files. I did a quick Google search and it looks like it's possible to convert a powerpoint file to a PDF. Maybe you could try doing that and using that instead?

remove any decimals in the filename and replace with underscores.  That fixed my new uploaded powerpoint files that wouldn't open.  I have hundreds of powerpoint links on my website www.kurutzjhpc.weebly.com

@pearsam I have not done this myself, but you should be able to follow this guide: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/embed-a-presentation-in-a-web-page-or-blog-19668a1d-2299-4a...

and then embed the code provided with our Embed Element.

When are you going to add this functionality--I think being able to load and view a powerpoint is a basic need.

Thanks

You might be able to use the Embed Element. I know you can do this with Sheets/Excel, but haven't come across anyone that's tried with PP.

You could also embed it with the embed code from OneDrive. You can have a free OneDrive account and upload your Powerpoint to it. From the OneDrive site you can choose to share your Powerpoint. Choose the embed code option for the Powerpoint and then use the embed code element in Weebly to past it in.

I have included a Powerpoint in my site here if you want to see how it would look: http://marching.glenesteband.com/news/parent-meeting-slideshow

The advantge to doing it this way is the user can click through the slides as if they were giving the presentation. The video option is just that, a video. They would have to pause it to stop and look at a slide if they needed to.

Found a solution!   Weebly does support uploading powerpoint files using the file link. I was having a problem with the name of my file "Notes 2.7 Graphing Rational Functions". The decimal in 2.7 was being read as the beginning of a file location or construct extension that was unrecognizable.   The decimal in file.doc tells the computer its a document file.  After changing the file name, replacing the decimal with an underscore (Notes 2_7 Graphing Rational Functions) the issue was resolved!

Pass it on!  Lost an entire teaching day screwing around with the problem that was never an issue for me for powerpoint files until today.

I saved my opened my PowerPoint document and chose the option to save as a jpeg file.  It saved each my slides as a separate jpeg image.  Then I went to the Build section of my Weebly page and dragged the box "Slideshow" onto my page.  I chose all of the images I wanted to insert and it gave me a few options on how I wanted to present the slideshow.
