"____.weebly.com" sites not working

Hi,

I was wondering if this is a problem everyone is having or only me.

But it seems that the ____.weebly.com websites don't seem to be working. I tried with mine (janellekung.weebly.com) as well as (unblooming.weebly.com) as well as some other people's personal .weebly.com websites; and it seems like they can not be loaded. I tried on Safari, Firefox, and Chrome as well as on two different internet connections and on my laptop and phone, but nothing worked.

I was wondering if I could have any assistance in deceiphering this problem.

Thanks,

Janelle

It sounds like your college IT department is blocking Weebly subdomains. You might want to contact them to see if they can remove that, or provide a way for you to view them.

Hello Janelle! Everything appears to be working normally from here. Do you get a particular message when trying to access the Weebly subdomains?

Thanks for such a quick reply! It is much appreciated.

But what happens is that it just keeps loading and loading and loading and eventually it says "this site can not be reached."

But I also found out something else. The two internet connections I used were my college's private router and the college's guest router, so I decided to try an outside one. I went on my phone and used my cellular data to open the website and it worked. It was completely fine, so I am not exatly sure why particlarly Weebly subdomains would not work on my college's wifi networks. It's really weird.

Thanks, I contacted IT and they told me that they temporarily took Weebly down due to phishing attempts. Now it works again.

Hey, I guess I am also having the same problem. My weebly is not loading at all. It just shows a white page. Is it a problem with weebly?

I'm sorry to hear you are not able to access the editor. This is the information provided by customer support:

"We've heard reports that some major service providers who are used by a large number of school, office, and privately-managed networks as well as VPNs have blocked certain network resources that allow some programs to run. In particular, problems seem to arise surrounding a resource named "Umbrella Roaming Client", though your network provider would be responsible for determining exactly which resources are being blocked. There are three options to remedy the situation:

First, you can reach out to the person who manages your network firewall (and/or your IT department) and ask them to add Weebly to the software's "safe" or "accepted" list. You can let them know that our IP ranges are 199.34.228.0/22 and 74.115.48.0/22

Second, you can use a different internet connection altogether and ensure that you are not using any kind of VPN service.

Third, you or your IT team can reach out to any VPN providers you are using to help locate and unblock any blocked resources. If you are on a privately-managed network and are experiencing problems loading your site editor, your best option is reaching out to your Internet Service Provider to report the error, and providing them with the same two IP ranges listed above.

While we'd love to provide more specific instructions, this error is being caused by a change made by major network and internet infrastructure providers and is not something that Weebly has any control over or ability to fix ourselves. We understand this is frustrating, with the instructions above whoever manages your network may be able to quickly resolve the issue."

I'm having the same problem. If I purchase a non weebly domain, will it change? Or is the problem that my website is hosted by weebly? I'm an academic, so if my site can't be accessed at universities, that's a problem.
