POS on a computer and multiple user

I'd like to know if this is possible.

I'm using a computer with Windows and a web browser. This will act as my screen for my POS. I will purchase a Square terminal to accept in person card payment. The POS is a shared terminal. I there a way my employee can key in their 4 digit number to have access?

My user have specific permission (they have access to virtual terminal). I use Square free plan therefore I cannot create multiple sets of permissions.

Or do they have to login into their Square Dash board and access the virtual terminal?

Thanks

Claude

Hi @LaCyclerie - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋

It sounds like you're wanting to connect your Square Terminal to the Virtual Terminal for in-person payments, correct? If so, you can find details on how to set this up here in our Support Center.

If you are wanting to stay on the free tier of Team Management, all of the Team Members on your account will have to have the same exact permission set and you can edit that permission to dictate what your Team Members can and cannot have access to. They can have a 4-digit passcode assigned to each of them. You can find more information on setting up Permissions here.

I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions 🙂

Can the 4 digits code be used on the virtual terminal? If not can it be used on the square terminal that it is connected to a virtual terminal?

Thanks
